I am just wondering what is entailed and if there were any negatives to having it done? My AC is so cold I don't want to ruin what I have, but it is pretty noisy.

The only thing I have seen regarding the AC is an informational TSB saying that noise at startup of the car is the AC, not changes or modifications.

 

there is a TSB that fixes the "growl" of the AC compressor. Mine growls but have yet to get the TSB done.

 

I was concerned because of a recent post where someone mentioend that their belt broke. I wondered if the compressor was responsible for this.

I have never owned a car where the A/C seemed to drag on the engine so much. I actually have to shift differently since the RPM'S drop so quickly when I push in the clutch with the A/C on.

they give you a new ac compressor. I had the problem, but it wasn't as major as a few of my friend's Z's, theirs was pretty unbearable.
