Default issue starting, check engine, vdc off, and slip are all

Car is hesistant to start. Started sounds normal...turns over second time. Check engine soon, vdc off, and slip are all lit on dash. Has done this twice today.

Any ideas?

I am going to take it somewhere to have a diagnostic check done.

yes, i just ran into the same problem. its very possible that the O2 sensors, MAF sensor or ECU has encountered a problem. the Z has a safety system where if it recognizes a problem, it'll cut your engine off. for instance, mine would start up and idle just fine but i couldnt get it to rev aboe 1-1.5 RPM. i had the SLIP, VDC OFF and CHECK engine light on. after letting it sit for a night to cool, i proceeded the next morning to disconnecting the battery. when you disconnect the battery and short the cables to each other for about 5 minutes or so, it will discharge the the capacitor on the ECU chip. the ECU chip holds a short memory of problems and if it still recognizes whatever problem you had, it will keep the engine in 'safety mode' once the ECU chip is shorted and 'restarted' the problem should go away. best of luck

I can almost guarentee you this is the Crank Position Sensor / Camshaft Position Sensors

Cheap parts and will fix your problem.
