So the locksmith came and told me they can't fix that. Nor should I call another one.

It's probably time for drastic measures. Maybe you could get a Dremel tool with a carbide burr, and cut an access hole in the inner panel near the lock mechanism. Then you could get the door open, fix whatever is wrong, and get a replacement panel from a wrecking yard.

This figure from the service manual might help you pick a spot to make the opening. I'd aim for the actuator, item 6 in the figure.

Pull the seats out and you might have the access you need to remove the door panel too.

Just a guess, I haven't honestly had to remove the door panels on the Z.

The rear edge of the inner panel extends into the recess around the door opening so you cannot remove it when the door is closed.

well first i lowered the window all the way down then i pried on the lower part of the weather strip. this allowed me to move the door cover about half an inch i looked inside and located the linkage and yanked on it with a coat hanger. once the linkage was separated i was able to open the door from the inside. and i removed the door handle and noticed that pink clip broke in the process. THE END
