Thaddeus

Had the alingment and tire 'rotate' done at 8500 miles. Noise not only continued but became worse. Nissan NA sent 4 engineers to look at, drive and discuss. This occured at 16400 miles. Alignment checked and all OK. Given two new front tires, but because it is now winter I imediately put on the winter tires. One way or other I should know if the alingment will 'fix' or not.

Incedently, the NNA engineer said the reason they came to look at my vehicle was because the noise continued to become worse and this was very unusual.

When I loked at the original tires, I noticed not only the feathering we are so familiar with but also a patern occuring over 4 lugs on the inner tread band. The leading two lugs were high (and feathered) the next two were cupped (and feathered).

The engineers also said the feathering patern is simply the wear patern of an agresively set up suspension and tires having a 140 wear rating. He also stated this is typical of the 350 Z.
