I have an 04 with test pipes nismo y and catback.

 

I have test pipes and I know the sound your saying but this is coming from the engine and it's only on hard acceleration. Occurs right when I let off gas

 

2003 base btw. I'm Gunna have to try and pin point the sound. Been super busy

 

Intake manifold gasket leak.

 

Mine only happens at 2k and I'm pretty sure its the exhaust.

 

def not exhaust... its hard to pin point. prolly just gunna bring it to dealer.

i hear he same sound in my car... more of a whistle sound if you ask me, but i have a asuka type 3 vented hood so its pretty loud in the 2-4k range... my sound i believe is being caused from my K&N intake

 

Ya thats what it is... i have yet to figure out the problem. it wasnt the oil. im pretty sure its a bad intake gasket. is there a good bit of pressure in the intake plenum (upper or lower?)

It happens at a certain rpm not just when i let off gas. i have no clue
