Multiple cranks to start
Hey guys - about a year ago, it took my car three cranks to start. It would turn over strong, but wouldn't start. Well a year later, the problem has come back. I'm now having the issue 2-3x a week. I'd crank the car once for about 5sec, stop, and repeat it until it starts-- this usually takes 3-4x to get it started. I'd even let the car sit in the on position for a few seconds to let the fuel pressure build up in the lines.
I've changed the spark plugs already, and also read we dont have a fuel filter, just a screen in the tank --
No CEL on, fuel pump cycles, battery/starter good... is a CAS a possibility with no CEL? Low compression? Any other ideas? Thanks for any help :-)

I remember a TSB on the starter causing a similar issue. Something about it not turning at the right speed, but still pretty fast. But low compression will do that also and is easy to test.
