Default 08 clutch issue

hello,

first off i apologize if this is in the wrong section and because i know this has probably been brought up but i have searched and cannot find an answer.

the clutch pedal on my 08 350 is stuck to the floor. i know there has been a recall for the 07 model year but was wondering about any recalls for the 08 model year.

also what is exactly the issue with the clutch? i have heard the clutch master slave cylinder or something along those lines in the 07. is it the same issue?

also if there is a recall should i get my car towed to a nissan dealership, or would the recall still be covered if i took it into a different shop? this being saturday evening no shop is open until monday anyways so just wondering what i should do to best reslove the issue with the least amount of money out of my pocket.

any suggestions are welcomed

thank you

when searching i came up with this:

2008 Nissan 350Z Recall
Recall Date: 2008-10-07
Component Affected: AIR BAGS
Potential Cars Affected: 204,361

2008 Nissan 350Z Recall
Recall Date: 2008-10-07
Component Affected: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: SOFTWARE
Potential Cars Affected: 204,361

only 2 recalls for the 08, usually on the HR it is the MSC...

does your clutch come back up? When does this happen? WHen you are pushing the car or under normal driving condition? I am pretty sure if there is a recall that the Dealer has to do it.

looks like u do have a recall on it.. you should of gotten a letter if it was registered under your name in 07... read that thread i just posted and see if you VIN falls under that section or just contact your dealer.

i would call the dealer to make sure first. if you car is not recalled then if u dont have warranty i would try to find out what YOUR exact issue is as it could be something totally different

i was driving my car in in normal conditions, not pushing it at all. i was pulling onto a road from a stand still and was in first gear. the clutch pedal is stuck to the floor and i cannot shift into any gears. i tried starting the car and it basically just stalls right away. as of now my car is sitting at nissan and i am planning on calling them first thing monday morning. i am just praying this is under warranty.

From everything I have read, the 2008 were not covered under the 2007 recall.I have a 2008 6 speed and at about to turn 40K the only thing I have experienced is the noise in nuetral at drive thru's.I knew about the noise before the purchase so it doesnt bother me.

I am the second owner and got it at 24K.I hope and wish you all good luck in getting it covered and/or repaired.

i have an 08 and the clutch stuck to the floor twice at the track on two different occasions and the first time the dealer replaced the master cylinder, the second time they changed the csc.. it should be covered under warranty man just take it to the dealership.

just thought id let you guys know it was the slave cylinder. apparently it broke a seal. but they say it should be ready for me to pick up tomorrow after they get the part.

however yesterday i was getting quiet annoyed with nissan, i would call their service department and someone would pick up the phone and hang it up... and i called around 5 or 6 times. finally when i called sales someone answered and told me they would go back to the service desk and get someone to call me asap.... after 45 mins i just drove there to see what was going on with my car. they didnt touch it yet but in person they were surprisingly nice and explained the situation. but i still really dont understand the hanging up on people calling the service dept.
