Default Front under-body diffuser removal help

Alright, first off sorry, this is most likely a very stupid question, but I couldn't find anything on it through search or google so sorry if this has been asked.

So I'm having a slight problem removing the under-body cover. There's a plastic piece in middle supporting the cover, so after all the screws were taken out it was still attached. I figured it would pop out with a bit off pressure applied, but it doesn't, and I'm scared of ripping it if I force it more. Here's a pic of the piece:

Take a flat head screw driver and pop the middle piece up, then just pull the whole piece out.

Yes. Its a push-lock or pop-lock. You can release some tension on the inner cylinder by pushing.
