after driving through a huge rain storm .....HID wont work......so changed the ballast and bulbs .......lights worked but car wont start......then the lights dont come off!!.. had to take of the neg of the battery......disconnected the lights and tried to start the car and nuthing but a lot of clickin and flashin lights on the dash board....so checked fuses and all are good....STUMPED AND STRANDED AT HOME..help!!!

 

Battery could be bad,, is it the original? Try and jump start it and see if that is the case. Or your starter is bad, those are the first 2 things i would check.. hope that helps

 

the battery and starter were working fine the day before.....no hesitation or anything ...battery was bought about 4-5 months ago......... before i try and start the car i get flashing dash board lights and clicking noise by the battery (car in on acc position)

 

Sounds like a bad battery or a bad connection to the battery.

 

yep ...it was a dead battery ....the water soaked HID ballast drained the battery ....took it to Advanced auto for a free charge and i was good to go .lol
