Funny - but I guess for some it's harder than you think.

https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...ight=jackpoint

In fact, my very first Z came with the "hump" option from the previous owner (I used it to beat down the price).

I've actually used these jack stands and they work quite well. The guys who think they'll never fit under their Z cars just don't understand the product. I have a track prepared car that's lowered 2". I got my car on these stands using a basic HFT aluminum floor jack.

They're alot of money and not for everyone, but I've seen alot of "humped" Z floors in my day. Most of them looked like more than $300 worth of damage to me. I know how to jack up a car and get it on regular jack stands. But having used these things at the track - there's no comparison in terms of stability. None of that "put my wheels under the car just in case" crap.

I looked at the you tube video. I think it's by one of the retail sellers. I think this is a better answer to the safety question. There's a video link showing it used on a Corvette, but I use a pad that the pinch weld jacking spot fits into.

Jacking up a car isn't rocket science... Would much rather be safe then quick. If you're experienced enough, you're both. All I can say "if it broke, don't fix it"

I hope you meant to say "if it ain't broke . . . " I think the point here is not that these are fast (I guess it looks that way in the video), but that they're more secure. I'm not trying to push them, but from reading these comments I think some just don't get it. That's what is puzzling to me. How can you not get it? When your car is sitting on these things, everything locks together - your chassis is locked into the cap, the cap interlocks with the base and the base is 16" wide on the ground. If you're experienced enough, or if you have enough tools, or if you just pay to have everything done to your car, or . . .
I have a lift - solves the problem. I only put up the post because there are plenty of guys on this site with Z's that apparently DON'T have the experience. I think the comments that imply any idiot can put their car safely on a jack stand ignores the stage that most of us went through of being "noobe" tinkerers. I remember that time and my first jack stands. I would have felt better with these.
