Default Headlight spring clip that holds bulb in place HELP!

Hi, so recently I tried to change out my 03 350z touring hid bulb for the 8000k bulb and I cant get the spring clip to hold the bulb in place for the life of me. Did anyone ran across this problem while changing out their bulb and how did u get it to fit back in place again? I took it out and remember exactly how it held the bulb but wen I try putting it back on the spring clip would not snap on to hold the bulb in place. I did not remove headlights just jack up car and remove the wheels. Please provide advice, help, or pics of how you was able to get the clip back on again in place to hold the bulb cuz I been trying for hours and it wont fit on correctly and wont snap on into place for a secure fitment. No I didnt get the wrong size bulb because everything turns on and works just the clip wont fit into place with the bulb. Thanks

ps: its temporary held on by monster tape...ughhh!

how about you provide some pics and more info before we all start playing a guessing WTF the op really did game?

What bulb size?
Will original bulb fit back in without problems?
Did you put the old and new bulbs side by side to see what may be different?
Or did you just rush to the boards to post a durr durr thread and a wall of text?

Possibly you bent the wire clip when you were removing your stock lights. I have no other explanation for your problem.

A pic would be nice...else you can just ask Helen Keller for advice next time.

Any answer to this thread would be a guess. You have not provided enough information or visuals to come to a conclusion.

You wonder why there are nearly 400 views and now 3 replies.......

Default headlight spring

I just changed mine out and it caused a few choice words before I had a AH-HA moment. You have to turn socket ccw and pull off.Now all you have is the bulb which is held by the spring.Squeese spring to disengage, and then remove bulb.I was trying to put bulb in with the socket attached. Not fun!

Some vehicles headlights automatically turn on when the sensors are triggered by the oncoming of nightfall. Proper operating headlights save you from potential trouble on the road. The typical headlight is designed to provide two kinds of beams: a low beam and a high beam. The low beam is designed to provide ample road illumination while minimizing the glare of your headlights to oncoming vehicles. The high beam provides maximum illumination with limited glare control. Without proper operating headlights your ability to navigate the road in low-visibility conditions is significantly impaired. Simply put, your vehicle's LED car lights make it safe to drive at night or in low-visibility conditions.
