Default Removing the pulley off the alternator?

Hey guys,
I recently purchased an 06' 350z with various mods already on it. I have the unOrthodox racing pulley kit. Whenever I cold start the z the alternator seems to have a massive loud squeling noise, and it will remain there till the voltmeter gets up to 14v charge. I bought new belts for them i lubricated the pulleys but i still seem to get that squeak . Could it be the actual alternator or the aftermarket pulley intalled on it?

I suspect one of the internal find in the alternator is bent. Remove alternator and take to a shop willing to repair the issue and the issue only, not a full rebuild.
Cost me $40

"I suspect one of the internal find in the alternator is bent." Huh??

The alternator is working pretty hard to charge the battery back up right after the engine is started, and that's why the belt is slipping.

If the belt isn't slipping, it may be the pulley itself. It doesn't look like there's a key between the pulley and the armature shaft, so the nut has to be torqued correctly. The '07 service manual says 87 foot-pounds, but it may be different for the aftermarket pulley.

yea thx,
Well I'm pretty sure its the unorthodos pulley, I'm just deciding whether to purchase a stock pulley or rebuy the same unorthodox pulley. For now I'm going to pull the alternator out, grease it and see if i find any kind of bent in it.

How the heck did the alternator shaft get bent? That's seriously unorthodox.

Was the car in a front end collision? Is the alternator off a wrecked car?

Arrghh... These phones guess the wrong words sometimes. FIN, as in cooling fins is what I was after there.
I'll edit my post later.

AArRRGGg.. So i decided to skip all the bullcrap with getting the original alternator fixed so i bought a new one from autozone. Turns out the squeling noise is still there and only comes on on cold starts and whwnver I initially start on the ac. Is it the clutch from the compressor?? HELP!?
