Oil Filter on New Z
What oil filter comes from the factory on a 03 Z? I changed my oil yesterday for the first time and the oil filter that was on mine was longer than the oil filter I purchased at the dealership. The filter I purchased was part no. 15208-65F00. I already threw the old one away but it was longer than this one.
I'm using a K&N HP1006, which is longer than the recommended HP1008. I wanted a longer oil filter (more filtering area) and called K&N. The Tech I spoke to, said the HP1006 and HP1008 have the same specs, except for size, so will work. I've used two of them now, with no issue. The welded on nut on the end, also makes it a breeze to remove.

Do a search, nobody has had anything good to say about Fram oil filters. I used Fram for years on my vehicles until I started reading those reports. They are all over the net. I will never use a Fram Oil Filter again.

We've been selling the K&N oil filters and the factory stock ones to a lot of you. Guess I'll need to add them to the web-site. BTW: if you buy 2 or more factory ones we sell them to you for $4.50each
