Default issue with windows

when i roll my windows up they click back down about 3 inches and they will not go up this little bit when you shut the door??

any thoughts. I believe it may be the door switches..

any advice would be great plan on going to the dealership to get it checked out

Time to pick up a window motor and follow the walk through VO provided.

Very rarely will cleaning the motor fix it and if you are that far in swap it out.

Thats the exact behavior I had and it is the window motor. Auto up rolls up all the way then kicks back down. Eventually it will stop doing that and just stick until you hit the door. I'll put money on you need to clean or replace the window switch motor. Hasn't happened to me once since replacing the window motor 2 years ago. See page 10 post #194.

This is what you need the whole piece.

I wouldn't replace both if you don't have to. Buy genuine Nissan though because you'll be replacing it again with an auto zone motor. I paid right around $180 I think for one. Here is a link so you know what to look for: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...117.107.186.42

I did my own install following the walk through so if you go that route feel free to pm me if you need help or have questions.

My drivers window was doing the same thing you guys are describing and then it completely stopped working all together. It just so happened that someone merged into mo drivers door shortly after so nissan fixed the motor for free. No problems since

Yesterday I took the doors apart and cleaned the motors. Now the door dont roll down after I get out of the car. But when Im an driving and i hit the auto up by clicking the switch all the way up they do the rolled up all the way and then kick down 2 inches. Could it be the swithes in the door panel?

Have you tried to do the window motor reset? Im not sure now with the window not rolling down but your original issue sounded like it could have been fixed simply by doing the reset.

Edit:
Dont know why it wont let me paste the URL but here it is:
