Default No0B Question about FOB Remote Key.

hey guys, i got a noob questions for all of you. I got my car last october and it came with an OEM remote but it never worked. So i tried to reprogram it and it did not work, i replaced the battery in the remote and still nothing. So i figured it's a damaged remote, i found one on ebay :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAND...ht_2595wt_1167

Now, on the title it says "KBRASTU15"; would this work for my 2003 350z? Or is there a specific model for the FOB remote key?

Any help i'll appreciate it.

Thanks.

It will work, but when you program it, you're going to have to have all your keys reprogrammed at the same time with a new code. You'll have to take your car to the dealership for this.

Oh ok, cool. Well i only have one key, so i shouldnt need to take it to the dealership(i hope not). So this "model" FOB remote key would work without a problem? thanks again.

You'll still have to take it to the dealership to get the new key fob programmed for your car. It won't just work out of the box.

Also, since it's your only key, I'd strongly recommend getting a door key made at Nissan while you're there (costs about $10-12), just in case you lock yourself out one day.

I've found this to program the new key because i do understand its blank:

Thanks about the info on the door key, i'll probably end up doing that.

Oh, might as well do that haha. I guess I was thinking about the actual key with the transponder chip in it. Good luck
