Default Motor is junk.. looking for help!!!

Ok here is my situation. My 06' Z's bearings went out and the engine is trash. Im *$&# 4 weeks out of warranty and Nissan said they would do nothing (bastards).

anyways.. this car is a DD and I do plan on keeping it for a long time. I want to stay NA and I am not looking to necessarily spend the lowest amount of money but rather put a good running motor in my car that will last.

Option 1.
My buddy is a mechanic and can get a brand new motor from Advance Autoparts with a 3 year warranty for $5,100 which is cost, or pretty close to it.

Option 2.
Advanced Autoparts also has a 51k full motor they are selling for $900 (which seems to good to be true) they will give 1 year warranty and possibly 3 for a little extra $.

If I went this route my mechanic buddy said I could replace bearings, Valve seals, Piston rings and.. anything else you guys think since the motor is already out.

Option 3.
Their is a very 350z experienced performance shop near me. They have a "very Low Milage" shortblock and for $3100 including labor they could build it and put it in. 1 year warranty

Option 4.
..anything you guys would recommend.

Thanks, in advanced, for any help or ideas

If you just want to get the car rolling again, go with the cheapest (assuming all are similar in quality). Good time to build the motor and mod it up if you have the extra cash.

How come the bearings in the original engine went out? Did you let it run out of oil?

S&R in Tampa is the shop.. And they wouldn't be building anything with the shortblock for 3100 besides bone stock.. To get high compression + upgrades etc in the build it was $5300. Seemed high but idk..?

I wont be going FI.. not with my DD. I'm going to put 4:08 gears + Nismo LSD with my coilovers and suspension upgrades and pretty much call it a day.

Plenty of oil.. Not sure how it happened. My girlfriend was driving the car, I was behind in my truck and it died when she was making a u-turn. couldn't have been more than 3k rpm's when it happened. its a shame..

This is NEW in the crate or rebuilt? Matters not. The warranty is a winner.

I say go for the 900 dollar motor. Swap it in, make sure its a revup like your last motor, otherwise you'd need ecu and harness + reprogramming for it. Other than that a stock motor should last. Save money where you can but don't cut corners on anything
