Default fuel gauge, dte, empty light fail... help

Alright so i have a 2003 enthusiast, for a few days my dte will come on and off, read ---- all the time, my gauge needle is at 3/4. I put gas, didn't move. And my gas light is on most the time... I know you have probably heard this a millions time but i read and reas and got no direct answer. I have a cel, have failed to check it yet. Would the cel tell me what might be doing this or what is needed to be done. Thanks in advance

You definitely want to find out the reason for the CEL. It could be related to your gauge problems but it could also be associated to something more serious.

There are some known problems with gauge inaccuracy & fluctuations. It's related to dirty fuel level sensors. With an '03 Z, you can definitely be suffering from that or worse. Check out this thread..
