Default Need clutch replaced.. what is the cheapest??

Hello,
My 2003 350z is in need of a clutch at 160,000 miles with original clutch. Now I plan to sell this car in a month or two, so I am not planning on spending a lot. What would you guys recommend on me purchasing as a cheap quality clutch? Also would I need to change the flywheel or can I get by without this?

Sorry I am a noob at this, I tried searching but I haven't found the right thread with my specific question.

Thanks you.

Im guessing OEM would be the cheapest.... if you're planning on selling the car, i would keep the flywheel the way it is... if you could do this repair yourself, that would be where you would save most of your MONEYZ... i just had my tranny apart to change throw out bearing, took like 8-9 hours, but thats on the floor without a lift.... good luck dude

OEM clutch would be the cheapest, if you were to find one through the forums or locally. The labor for the clutch replacement isn't cheap, though, which is why most people tend to upgrade at the same time. And no, you don't NEED to get a new flywheel.

The cheapest option for you would be to sell the car as-is now, rather than waiting a month or two, and let the buyer deal with replacing the clutch.

I believe I have a used OEM clutch/pressure plate somewhere in my parents' house in Dallas I can let go for cheap, and this should last a good while. I'm not sure they'd be willing to ship that for me, but I can find out for you, though, if you need.

labor I can get for free, my father owns a mechanics shop. How many miles are on your clutch? and for how much? I am interested.

I see all these clutch kits on ebay for 150-200$, are they no good?

I want to spend as little as possible, but not get a trash part for the next owner..

As previously stated. Steer clear of the ebay clutches. Your cheapest option is going to be the OEM unit. If you have access to a shop and free labor, you'll save the most money there.

As for the flywheel. At that mileage and with the clutch going, it is recommended to be replaced. The best thing that you can do is give it a thorough inspection once everything is torn apart. From there you can determine it's condition and whether or not it is in need of replacement.
