Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly Problems?
So I recently started having a type of thumping from the rear driverside wheel.The sound is similar to having something stuck to the wheel. I thought the wheel needed balancing but there was no vibration> I lifted the car up and the wheel has play even though all the lugs are tight. We ordered a brand new wheel and hub. I went and got it pressed at a local machine shop. He seemed to press it until it coudnt go any further.
Problem is, the assembly dosnt look fully pressed according to the pictures on the internet.

Anyone know whats going on? How can I fix this? It would really freakin suck if this was 200 bucks down the drain.

That's definitely NOT pressed in all the way. The '07 service manual says it takes 11,000 pounds pressure to fully seat the axle in the bearing.
Be sure he's supporting the bearing properly in the press. I'd take it to a Nissan shop, since they'll have the correct tools.

be aware that the picture you should was of a front wheel bearing assembly which comes from the factory built-up
only the rear bearings (which are different) require to be pressed in and probably do differ in appearance.

OK, here's an image of the rear hub assembly. It has a shoulder that fits against the bearing, and that's where it stopped when the machinist pressed it into place. It's good to go.
The radius closer to the outer end looks like it should go against the bearing, but obviously that's not the case.

The assemby was a perfect fit and was pressed perfectly. There are no more sounds and car is running great!
