Exterior air noise
At highway speeds do you guys notice any exterior air noise.. It seems like my window is not rolled up all the way.. This could be becasue of the grease fix.. the noise is faint but I notice it when the music isnt loud.. which isn't often.
Since I got the car did I have the wind sound problem. I've learned to deal with it, since there is no water leakage into the cabin (when it rains)... and that's what's important (to me
).
I get the wind noise at ~40mph and above.

I had both of my regalators replaced because of excessive nosie and too much play in the windows. Now everytime I wash my car water goes inside and I get a lot of wind noise. I called Nissan and have to take the car back to them again. Oh yea, they messed up my door panels too, so they will be replacng them while they're at it.

I've been told at the dealer I go to that it's due to the weather stripping coming loose. Not sure if it's so. I have an appointment to get it checked on Monday. Hopefully it'll get rid of it cause at 15,000 miles, I'm tired of the wind noise when I drive. Oh well, I'll just raise the volume.

Might be worth checking the seating of the rubber seal. I had some noise on my car today just over my shoulder. When I adjusted the seal in that location, the noise went away.

Open the door, and look at the shiny black B pillar cover. At the bottom of that is a fairly large rubber piece which looks like its held by 2 pins facing you and another one round the corner.
That piece of rubber has like a tab of rubber which sits over the main door seal (i.e. the one which goes all the way round the door opening. The tab just sits on top of the door seal so can get dislodged (e.g. when washing the car).
Try checking that. Its only an idea. Worked for me.
Best of luck.

The fix to the window air leak is to adjust the window both up and in at the top. You have to take the door panels off to accomplish this.
It seems that that the boneheads at the dealerships do not have a clue to how to accomplish the window asjustment.
First remove the door panel and then hook up the window switch and tape or zip tie the switch assembly so it will not get squished in the door.
Then remove the three black tape disks that cover the three bots that hold the window on the track. You will need a ten millimeter socket and extension to perform the adjustment.
Having the Technical Service Bulletin is excellent as the maintenance manual sucks and does not describe the adjustment procedure properly.
Open the door with the window rolled all the way up. Push the door closed but not all the way. Check the window drop and you should see about a half inch of gap. Then push the door the rest of the way closed as in the second click so it actually closes. You will note that the window runs the rest of the way closed. If the gap is not consistant or too close at the back you will have found your wind noise. The manual wants an even gap but you need to get the window a little closer to the gasket by the mirror and about a half inch at the back. If the window drives up too far at the back the front will not go all the way up and the wind will make noise there.
Also, there are adjustments for the tilt of the glass at the top of travel. If you look at the lower part of the aluminum enclosure on the door you will see a stud and nut at the front and back with a slot in the stud. Loosen the nut and turn the stud, with flatblade screwdriver, counter-clockwise while making sure you keep a reference point. From my experience you only have to turn the stud one turn and then lock the nut back down and the window will tilt a little more inward, toward the gasket and help eliminate the wind noise.
Reinstall the door panels after you get the adjustment right.

I get the wind noise too. It's from the top of the glass and it's from the window not going up enough. I also get a little water at a quarter car wash. You would have thought they would have got this little detail right
i dont know about what your getting but mine def. sounds like wind and only seems to be coming out of the passenger side although ive never been in the passenger seat at high speeds so they might hear the noise but from my side. Seems odd
