Default Gauge cluster help!

I had my cluster replaced because my original the digits werent lighting up. So my current cluster shows less mileage so it can look like i rolled back. And thats a federal offense. So who knows how i can get my cluster to reflect my cars actual mileage

Or if i sell it private if theres some sort of paper we both sign that says we both acknowledge the mileage issue or w.e.

I believe you can go to your DMV and have the odometer change documented. Check online before you head in there though just in case. When you run into problems is when you try to 'fix' the odometer. So far you haven't committed odometer fraud, that will only happen if you start trying to change the mileage manually.

I had an old fox body mustang with a broken speedometer and the title had it noted that the odometer was incorrect.

BTW i understand the laws may vary by state. anyone in texas that has dealt with this before. to my understanding of my research on the title transfer basically i list it as odometer broken/replaced. and both of us sign off.

Nissan was being a buncha dicks. Said for replacements the miles are already set before they receive the clusters. Other places didnt even let me finish my sentence they cut me off and said its illegal. Didnt even hear me out. Im not tryna rollback im tryna roll forward. They couldnt at least guide me in the right direction. But thats cool cuz my money is no longer being guided in theirs
