Default 08 tails swapped into 05.... FUSE KEEPS BLOWING

Had the lights swapped for near 2 months with no issues, now for some reason the running lights in the led tails and the license plate frame light keep blowing.

It's a small 10 fuse near the battery in the IPDM box. That same fuse seems to power the rear running lamps. I replaced the fuse and in about a day it blew again. Any ideas what might be causing this issue? I don't want to put in a larger fuse and have the issue sent further up the chain and blowing something important. Ideas?

A short somewhere?

An exposed wire touching metal will cause this.

All 2008 OEM heads and tails. Not into the eBay stuff.

I'm assuming that it might be an exposed wire how CGK said. I need to pull off the bumper again and check the wires for the license plate lights

simple fix yet, not "fixed"

i noticed that when i leave my lights on when i start my engine it was probably creating a surge of edgy due to most likely a lose ground some where that we were unable to start....

now when i gas up, lights off
step out and cut car off, lights out

i only turn lights on after motor turns over.... since I have started this series of techniques I have not blown a fuse.

good luck and hope this works
