What did those plugs look like vs the others? Are you burning/using a lot of oil?

But even if they didn't changed them would they still have oil on them, I mean I have seen a normal used plug before and the #3 and #6 plug was full of oil.

I had the same problem. I changed both valve cover gaskets and rtv sealed all spark plug tubes. I checked spark plugs a week later to find out if rtvs hold well. It was fine. Im not sure if rtvs still holds well after 2500 miles into it, but i really dont care to be honest with you. My car feels and runs great and there are no abnormal signs such as misfire or poor gas mileage.

PM me if your interested. I have done the valve covers on 2 Z's now its a fairly simple job to DIY

Oil is entering the combustion chamber:

Piston rings or cylinder walls are worn.
Excessive clearance in the valve stem guides
Worn valve stem seals.

Performance deterioration is so gradual that you may not notice. You may see black smoke from exhaust. A compression check will verify which if any cylinders have a problem.

If oil is leakin' into the cylinder then you should be having a puff of black smoke at start up and then clear up like a bad valve would do. If its leaking bad then you would be having smoke most all the time.

I doubt shops would do that. Plus, the spark plugs are not difficult to change at all. I wrote a DIY on this a while back and haven't had a single person run into any issues during the change.

Sucks that Nissan designed the valve covers in such a way that you cant even replace the seals.
