When i first got my 03 touring about 2 week ago i'm positive it didn't have this weird whine that i have been recently hearing. When ever I'm in first gear with clutch completely released and my foot completely off the gas my car has a very loud whining noise that slows down the car very harshly. I think that it is coming from under the car and about a foot in front of where the shift *** would be. it only happens in first gear and it slows down the car almost violently, any ideas?

The noise is the big *** gear, the harsh reduction in speed is because its a big gear and engine has high compression.
