dumb headlight question

Default dumb headlight question

ok i know dont go hating on me here. ive have searched and got a grasp on most of this stuff but i still dont have a complete answer. i have a base trim 2005 350z. my headlights have fogged and arent bright enough anymore. what would be the best option for me? thanks in advance

is it condensation on the inside? or is it on the surface as in scratches?

if so... wet sand and buff em'

once you sand and buff them, that oem layer of uv hardcoat that is hazy will be gone.. so it will come back far faster next time.

since its a base 03, id suffice to say thats good enough.. the car wash places do that for like 69 bucks around here.

Just do that.

If a guy had a later models w the bixenons, id reccomend buying cheap ebay halogen headlights ( like the model you have) and yanking the lenses off them .. they are a direct fit.. i was shocked.

i have seen you post this several times. have you heard of using the helmsman clear to add a new UV coating. i have done it to several cars and it has worked fine. It makes the headlight look brand new, and has lasted so far.

well i have a 2005 not a 03. and i would like to get them brighter too. im just not cleaver enough with this stuff to figure it all out.

so you looked over every ones advice and the only thing that jumped out at you was the fact that he called your 05 an 03.

why dont you respond to the other questions asked of you instead of making statements that wont help us help you

Clear Coating them after wetsanding them does the job, ive seen a few Z's that have done it this way and it looks great.

hmmm... ok so i want them brighter then when i first got the car and they werent fogged over. so can i swap out just the bulbs or do i need a whole new assembly and wire hareness?
