Hey guys I'm brand new to this forum and I just bought this car used a couple of weeks ago. The power locks were working from the inside but the last guy installed an aftermarket keyless entry that wasn't working.

I bought a viper 211hv keyless entry system and took out the old one. I had a couple guys working on it while I was at work and they set up the new viper keyless entry.

The problem is when I was attempting to isntall it, I shorted out the BCM or maybe the viper module or both. So after that, the inside power lock switch only worked for the passenger side.

Also, the trunk latch doesn't unlock or unlock with the key fob or with the power lock buttons.

Here's what's happening now:

Driver door - Locks manually. Unlocks with key fob. Power lock switch inside doesn't work. Can't lock with key fob.

Passenger door - Power lock switch inside works. Key fob unlocks and unlocks it.

Trunk - Makes a clicking noise when I use the fob and inside power lock switches, but it doesn't open or close the latch.

I bought a used BCM that I haven't picked up yet, but I keep reading that the key chip has to be programmed once I switch the BCM. And I'm not sure why the trunk won't lock/unlock.

Lemme know if you guys have any ideas.
