Exclamation Z Overheating

So I've come to a cross road that I need some serious help with. Long story short my cooling fans stopped working and now when I sit in traffic the car starts to overheat. I tested this theory today, had my roommate sit in the car while I stood over the engine and watched. Sure enough, the temp gauge went up and no fans...I checked the fuses under the hood and they look good, I checked the top wiring harnesses going into the radiator and they were intact, gonna check the bottom ones this weekend but I'm really just looking for advice, has this happened to any of you out there? Any help would be great! Thx

if your fans are toast, then yes, your car will overheat. Thats not a good thing w an aluminum engine.
turn on the ac, fans should immed start/speed up, if no, then it may be the fan switch.
if direct power to the fan itself doestn work, then its the fan, basic automotive deduction.

There was a cooling fan warranty extension. Your fans may still be covered

yes there is a warranty TSB about failing cooling fan's motor. The dealer will replace them for you free of charge. Just bring your car in and tell them that.

There's also another fusebox under the upper plastic that can affect fan operation. Be sure to check all the fuses in the IPDM as well.

Thermo switch would be the first thing I'd check.

*going to be embarrassed if modern cars like ours somehow don't use these anymore...
