Hatch paint looks dull compared to rest of the car??
Hey as the title state my hatch paint looks dull compared to the rest of the car and seeing what ideas people have for solutions or if I am going to need the hatch repainted. I tried some poor boys SSR2.5 with a PC on a green pad and really didn't do much. 1st pic is before polish, 2nd is after and the 3rd is what the rest of the car looks like for the most part.

Might be a Chrome Silver thing. My hatch looks the same as your first picture under certain light and I have to occasionally wax/liquid wax it to keep the "wet" look. It bothers me enough to where I'm going to start looking into buying/painting a carbon fiber hatch.

mines actually silverstone but yeah I know what you mean. It really bothers me because I am worried that my clear coat might be ruined. It could be worse but really bothers me and I may go the direction you are looking at too.

What year is your Z?Does the surface of the deck FEEL the same as the other areas that
have a higher gloss? My Z,03 Silverstone/79k miles has a even finish all over. The rear deck does get alot of crap, especially caught by the OEM spoiler. The area in which live(
airborne acids)can be a factor.
