Manual Transmission Clunk Noise!!!
Hi all. I have a 2006 enthusiast MT with 46k miles. Occasionally when I am in first gear and I press the clutch to shift into second or when I am coming to a stop and I hear this dropping/thumping noise from underneath the car. This usually happens when I just start the car and begin driving. I tried reving higher, pressing the clutch slower/faster, but its more of a random act. There is really no other explanation I can give, but hopefully someone else has had the same problem. Thanks !

I only feel it/hear it in first and rarely in second, but idk. I saw a white GTR at my local nissan dealer when I was buying some touchup paint. You have to be closing out a deal before you're allowed to test drive that monster!

It's normal man. I can probably get one of my past drives video up and I"ll pm you so you can hear the noises. As for the GTR, people who really know the car don't want the test drive. They already know what to expect and obviously no miles when they buy it! It's a fantastic machine man.

And if you are still worried, the best thing to do in situations like these would be going to a local car show, which they will have every week I think and get an experienced Z driver to drive it and tell you what is normal and not normal.
