Ok to start off I have a 2003 touring edition, the oem hid's have had a problem for the past couple months and I cant figure it out. When i first turn them on they both come on and then the drivers side light flickers and then turns off. Sometimes if i leave the headlights on for 20 or 30 minutes then turn them off and back on real fast they will both stay on, but only occasionally does that work. I bought a new ballast last week off ebay (the same type ballast from the same seller as a member here recommended in another thread). I replaced the ballast and the next day it is doing the exact same thing. I do not think it is the bulb becuase the bulb actually comes on before it flickers and goes off, and i do not think its the ballast because i replaced it. Does anyone know what it might be?

 

Why not try and change the bulb too and see if its the problem? They're relatively cheap.

 

most of these issues end up being a ballast or loose wire/plug

you can find a new set of 06+ headlights complete and just start new

 

ok to check the connections i unhooked everything, put it all back together and then switched the bulbs sides, then everything worked all together. But after a few days the passenger side started messing up so i assumed it was the bulb, then a couple days later they would both flicker out so im going to order new bubls just to see if that fixes it.
