Default Help! No oil pressure!

I was sitting at a red light today in my 03 350z when the oil pressure light came on. Gauge read zero, so I shut off the car. Car was running with the light on for maybe a total of 5 seconds. I checked the oil level an it was full, no leaks.

Now, how likely is it that the pump has failed? Or more than likely just a gauge? My car has 99,000 km's (60,000 miles)

Is there any way to check for oil pressure without waitin for a new gauge to come in?

Also, should the gauge read pressure when te key is on ACC? Or only when car is running?

put it like this...if the car isnt running then how could it pump oil? if its not pumping oil how can pressure be read?

Its not common for an oil pump to fail; Its very common for the oil pressure sensor to go bad; i wouldnt put money on the gauge.

The oil pump is all mechanical and is run off the crank, and like stated before, it is not common to break an oil pump, probably just a sensor
