Default broken bolt stud for the valve cover.

i was installing the bolt that holds down the valve cover against the engine block, and the stud snapped off.. i know i'm not suppose to tighten them hard but i was just keep tightening until i felt like the gasket is sealed enough..lol
anyways, the piece of stud is inside the engine piece. i can see about one thread pitch (?) from looking down at it. and i can feel little bit of the stud from the opposite side.

how do i go about removing this stud?

oh also, instead of that bolt, could i use some other bolt for replacement?

thanks in advance.

get a bolt remover kit. also, you probably over tightened the whole cover, i would remove it, check the service manual and get the proper tq specs and order that you are supposed to tighten. might as well buy a new gasket too. they are only like $18. oh. and youre gonna need a new bolt.

Think u cross threaded it maybe also or for sure over tightened only? Either way it may be a pain to remove.

i hand tightened before using wrench so i dont know why itd be cross threaded..

those bits in the "grabite" looks pretty thick.. ill b afraid to use it cause it might mess up the threads around it..

just get an extraction kit from lowes or homedepot. if youre like me, you'll use it again.. and get some decent drill bits to drill into it first.

Dont worry the same people who bash for not searching and making new threads are the same asz hats who bash for bumping an old thread. Carry on.
