-oil pressure light briefly comes on ONLY if I'm turning and cars in neutral, goes away when shifted back in gear. Never noticed it before. Is this a precurser to something bad?
-no loss in power/torque
-100 degree weather/ Texas
-oil level is ok on the stick
DOES NOT flicker, DOES NOT come on during normal driving/turning in gear, DOES NOT come on when stopped in neutral.
Your thoughts......

Triple check your oil level. If not that then your oil pressure sensor is out of whack and is reading really low when in reality it's just low. Lastly, how fast are these turns that you are taking in neutral???
Where's the pressure gauge at when the light comes on? That light is more of a low level sensor, if I'm down to 2 quarts in the pan it will come on under braking but idle pressure looks ok. I would worry pump isn't pumping enough at idle rpms to circulate during turning. Maybe just stay in gear.
Change you oil and see how much comes out. The dipsticks on these cars are incredibly finnicky/inaccurate.
You oil level could be potentially low so when the car is doing a turn and the oil is moving about, the oil level may be so low that the sensor detects this but once you straighten out, the oil will level-out and relieve the sensor.
Other potential problem, as another has mentioned, is a wonky oil sensor.
First way to check is to drain your oil and see how much you come out with. Should be roughly 5 quarts.
I had a similar issue and it was due to low oil after a few thousand miles being burnt off which is normal for oru cars, I believe.

on my way home stopped at AutoZone and grabbed some 5-30 RP, put about 3/8, let it run, took it easy home and tried to get the light to come on. Light hasnt come back on.
its about that time for a change so probably this weekend.
Thanks for the input fellas.
