Default Small crack in tail light

Hello I just purchased a 04 350z, but it has like a two inch crack in one of the tail lights and water gets inside. Is there a way for me to fix this or will I have to just replace it? Thanks.

as far as i know, there is no way to fill a crack besides the use of tape. I know that there are ways to fill in a missing piece of the lens, but I would just replace the entire light in your situation. There might be a way to disassemble the taillight and use some sort of epoxy to seal the crack from the inside, but the unsightliness of the crack would still be there, and I wouldn't be sure if you can take it apart anyways unless i actually looked at my own light(: good luck.

Several options...of course one is to replace.
The other(my suggestion)is to purchase a vinyl overlay for the lights.
Is the surface by the crack even?If not,you could sand or file it down
a bit.
Besides covering/fixing the crack,if you get a smoke tint,it'll look cool.
Several places on e-bay that sells them.Easy install.

Oh okay. I was planning on smoking them but I thought I had to fix this crack first since water is still inside it. I guess I can take it apart wipe the water then vinyl it no problem?

Taking it apart might be more of a chore than anything and you have to make sure you seal it back up when your done. My passenger side tail is getting water in it somewhere and I am unable to locate where exactly... I plan on sourcing a replacement or purchasing new 06+ tails.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
