Default MAF sensor? Gas mileage 8 mpg?

When installing my Injen SP series intake on my 2003 base 350z today, I had removed my MAF sensor before removing the negative on the battery. After install i take it up the road, noticing that my avg mpg was 8? i reset it and coasted in neutral noticing it then jumping to 99. What could be the problem here and is it simple to fix?

There isn't a problem. You reset the avg mpg when you disconnected the battery, it will be back to normal in no time.

Good, god, I hope this is not going turn into another one of those "MPG based on the computer display" threads.
