Default wont start first time around

i have a base 2008 m/t. the car has been running and starting fine until today. the only change is that the weather took a pretty drastic change and the temp dropped from 90ish to about 50 degrees. the car just wont start on the first time.takes 2 or 3 tries. once it does start it runs fine and the volts are normal on the gauge. the oil psi seems a little high when i first starts but i think that has to do with the colder weather it comes down once the car warms up. i did have this problem when i first bought the car the problem was the ground wire came loose that problem was fixed. so im wondering if anyone else is having or had had this problem and if so your thoughts and possible fixes for the problem. thanks

i now have a new problem the battery died on me. had some one give a boost car starts fine. but now the car wont rev past 15000 and dies as soon as i put it first. and now i do havea cel but no way to check it. if i ride the clutch i can get it going about 5 mph. so i parked the car and walked. any ideas on this i need help

I would say it's the battery. I just had my battery die on my other car yesterday (also a big temperature swing for me).

It may be still be putting out 12V, but the cranking capacity (amps-hours) is reduced with lower temps.

Could be many things. Are you getting any CEL's?
It may be a camshaft position sensor starting to go bad.
Doubtful with a car as new as yours.Worth to check.
Since you checked all the battery stuff,it could be moisture
in your fuel system. The temperature drop could cause this.Adding some
Stabil or Seafoam in your gas should fix this.

If it's not the Battery, Put it "on" for a few secs then off, wait 3-4 sec then "on" again wait then off. Then try to crank it.

no CEL's it has been raining along with the temp change. so moisture could be a problem then. think i will try some stabil if it keeps having problems, but for now i think i will try a new battery. thanks for the reply tho never would have thought about the moisture in the fuel

So turns out the battery was part of the problem. The other part was when i had the car boosted it some how fried the ecu and messesed something up in both throtle bodies. So yea guess next time my battery dies ill pull it out and walk my happy *** to auto zone and have them charge it.
