Default Door Handle Problems (drivers side outside)

Well, I was washing my z the other day like I do all the time and went to unlock the doors and get in, but to no avail.

Now I've done a search here and my problem is not like most to where the door handle won't open the door at all. After a few minutes of cussing and wondering what happened to my ride I just bought 2 months earlier, I finally got it open.

What I'm having to do is be gentle with it and go to open it like normal, but push the door in very lightly while the door handle is engaged. From there I can pull and it opens fine.

I have checked out the latch and when I lock it at the latch then pull the door handle, nothing. It is unlocking and locking fine, the locks are going all the way so they aren't sticking. The inside handles also work perfectly fine

Can anybody help a guy out? Thanks

This is a curious problem, indeed.
So the latching mechanism appears to work fine, it opens fine from the inside but the outside handle requires a slight push... it seems like it has to be the actual mechanics of the outer handle. I've never taken mine off so I'm afraid I'm of little service beyond that...
check this thread out. Might be something that will help you a bit

Thank you, I have read that in the past couple of days trying to find something out on this problem. I have thought about taking it off as it sounds really easy, and just checking out the mechanics of it.

Sucks though I have a 3 hour time frame from the time I wake up to the time I have to work all day. I don't get off until night time and thats a no go for working on it. And if something goes wrong in those 3 hours, I sure don't want to be without an even halfway functioning door handle.

You need a new door handle. Get one off ebay and replaced it. Probably the plastic mechanisms broke.
