Default Help! 2003 350 died while driving and now won't start.

SO this morning when I left for work, I barely made it out of my neighborhood and my car started to "choke" and bog down when I made it to about 3rd gear and 3k-ish rpms. So I was trying to up shift to keep the rpms low and the car cut off on me on the side of the road. And now it won't start at all. It turns over just fine, but won't crank. I went and got an obd reader and the car throws no codes. At first, I thought it might have been the mass airflow sensor, but I'm not sure bc if I do unplug it and try cranking, it will then throw a code.

Any help or suggestions that I can run down would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have an O3 Z and this just happened to me last week? Took a turn in second gear, car died in the middle of the street, car did not restart but tries to turn over just fine. I pushed the car into a grocery store parking lot. I then got the car towed to Nissan. The tech tried to read the ecu but it would not read because somehow the ecu fried. 1200 dollars later and a new ecu, car ran like a dream. Unfortunately, I think your car has the same fate as mine.

i dont think it would have just died on me in the middle of driving. plus the symptoms were like it was out of gas.

OOpps, forgot to tell you. The first time this happened the ecu didn't throw any codes and was readable using the obd. Same symptoms as mentioned above. The car had to be reflashed with an uprgrade that nissan has, they did if for free after I complained. Supposedly they are aware of an issue with the 03 ecu software. The second time was when the whole ecu fried and couldn't be read. Sounds very similar to the symptoms my car has experienced.

Ya updates please.

I'm living this nightmare right now.

----My symptoms-----
Left sitting for week, then same thing

Dies at stoplights, slow turns, even died at 50mph (like it was running out of gas) will crank and crank but not fire. Then suddenly fire up and limp away till then eventually drives fine, till it dies again.

Here's my twist.... Let it sit for hour and she drives perfect rest of day. Same story last 2 mornings.

I've read every thread under the sun related to this.
Got answers from put my oem air box back on to cam sensors, fuel pump, throttle body, to even bad gas.

Default My Z died too, I don't know why? .-.

My Z died too. I put a whole different battery on it, it started, but there was a hard knocking sound. Sounded like it was about to blow up, stalls out. it stalls out every time i would rev it. Even at the slightest touch of the throttle. Then again my valve cover's are leaking into my spark plug wells. .-. So, I dunno what it could be, man?

Had same issue My turned out to be fuel pump and i have the same issue with oil in spark plug wellsso i know thats probably not it but does need to be fixed. To see if its the fuel pump put fuel in a spray bottle and take the filter off the car and as someone turns it over spray fuel in the intake tube if it revs up and runs then a pumps your problem. and get a good name brand pump like delphi its gonna set u back about 300 to 400 dollars but they have a lifetime warranty.
