Knocking/Ticking Increases with RPM
May I ask why it was salvaged? And how long have you owned the car?
Seems like it could've very well been related to the car having a rebuilt title. A lot of times corners are cut because it was deemed as a total loss by insurance.

I opened the top part of the engine and I have the camshaft exposed on the driver side is there any way I can tell if its shot?
Do I have to open the timing cover to manually turn the cam gear?
