Roaring Tires
my z has about 10k on it now. tire wear looks minimal, but they roar incredibly loud at around 5-20 mph. anybody else had this issue? perhaps the bearings have gone bad?

Do you have an 03 or 04 Z?

Thanks,
it's an '03. it appears that my car doesn't fit the date/VIN parameters for the tsb...but there's no doubt that's what happening.

If you own a 2003 and you have roar when slowing from 30-5, then you are covered under a TSB. Make an appointment with the dealer to have your tires removed from the rims and rotated left to right (this is fine, despite the manual). Also, they will have to do an alignment. MAKE SURE TO GET your alignment specs before and after. You should get a print out. If they refuse, then you should use another dealer. Look at the print out and pay attention to the toe settings. They should be 2mm toe in with zero varience. If this is not what it says, then they need to do it again. For more info on this TSB and others, see www.nissan-techinfo.com.
just curious; nissan wont be doing this for me Im sure; I wouldnt want them to on my aftermarket rims.
but does the 2degree toe in apply to aftermarket rims as well? I need to get mine checked before my new tires are messed up.

You probably should go there for your service anyway. I wouldn't trust any other dealer in the area, especially not Southern States.
If you're interested in talking to other local 350Z owners, Packloyal, PM me.
