What Wheel Rim Color Paint Matches? Touring Version 2
Hi Everyone,
I did an OK job disguising a small curb rash on my wheel. It had the scratch when I bought it. Now I would really like to redo it properly with sanding, some JB Weld, and a closer matching color.
From what I read, the first layer is black paint, and the second is silver. Question is, what is the closest matching silver that people have seen success with?
Apparently, I can have them re-powdercoated, but I hear its bad for the rim plus its $250 per wheel (I need two done) and run the risk of the colors not matching.
"Touring Version Two initially available on the ’05 35th Anniversary model and standard on the Base, Enthusiast & Touring models starting in ’06 (18×8 30mm offset / 18×8.5 33mm offset)" I have an 08 Base.
Paint color/brand suggestions? Spray or brush?

Here is a thread with a fix:

I did a search for "OEM Wheel color" and found plenty of threads since this is not a new topic

Thanks for responding. The GM color seems to be for older models. I need the newer Touring V2 wheels.
I DID find out something interesting, "Ghost Chrome" I saw a thread where a professional used this to match exactly. Searching online i found a spray can version http://www.alsacorp.com/products/kil...hostchrome.htm
