Car Battery Anchor Problem
Hello so I pulled my battery out a few months ago to store my car, but today I reinstalled the battery back in.
The battery is now installed but I have this problem with the anchor. The long piece just isn't long enough and I have no idea how the last person installed it. I do remember it being super tight when I was taking it out a few months ago.

Any help would greatly be appreciated thanks!

Make sure you're seating the crook of the long rod in the correct hole. It goes through the outside of the sheet metal hole that is set up from the bottom of the battery tray. Then you should have enough clearance to get the two rods to line up properly.

^^That's the description I was looking for: "elevated loop". It's part of the bracket that the OP should be hooking the loop of the long rod to. Without it, the long rod will be too short and I suspect that's the OP's problem. He's hooking it under a side of the bracket vs. looking for the actual hole that is in the darkness to the left of his picture of the bottom of the battery.

Yeah, I could be wrong, but this should be where you hook it, not where hes trying.

I havent had to replace a 350 battery yet, so I havent seen it in person, but GREEN should be the correct spot, vs RED where hes trying?
