Default Oil consumption issue

I have an 06 MT 350z with 64k miles and I just recently switched to Valoviline 5w30 full synthetic about 800 miles ago. The engine clicking noise pops up sometimes on the driver side of the car and today it sounded worst than ever, I pulled out the dipstick and the oil does seem kinda low cause it doesnt cover much of it. The oil pressure gauge seems fine from the research ive done on it and the car hasn't had any power issues, it's stronger than what it's ever been. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks!

btw I got the car at 60k miles so i previously don't know what oil has been put in the car before and if it burns synthetic oil quicker rather than conventional oils. Should I switch back?
