Please help with Clutch noise
I thought I would try the forums before I take it into the dealership. I have an 03 MT with 75k miles. I bought the car at 45k miles and the previous owner said he replaced the clutch (idk what kind) at 40K miles.
The problem is a whistling/whirling sound that sometimes happens when I press in the clutch pedal while driving (coasting, changing gears). It doesn't happen every time. It seems to happen more when I'm aggressive with the acceleration. The sound will stop once I release the pedal and won't start again unless I'm shifting from a gear. So if I'm coasting and I hear the noise, I'll shift to neutral and then release the pedal and then press the pedal down again and shift back to a gear.
This is different from what other people seems to be experiencing (the throwout bearing) (ie the noise/chatter when you release the pedel and you're in neutral)
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!
