06 350z Overheating / No Heater
Hi everyone,
I have an 06 350 and there was some issues where the water temp was rising and the fans could be heard inside the cabin while the car was at idle. Once the car accelerated the temp would go back to normal.
I searched for this problem and found that the TS needed to be changed. I purchased a new one replaced it and filled the coolant. Drove the car for 5 min and the temp rose to almost the H area. Finally got it back home and heard gurgling sounds and boiling water. I then searched and found out that the system probably has air in it. I tried different methods like letting air out the bleeder screw in the rear of the engine bay, starting the car with the radiator cap off and the lower hose is not hot or stiff like the upper hose. There isn't hot air coming from the heater either.
Am I bleeding the system wrong? Is there something else I should be doing? Did I possibly get a bad TS? If you guys can possibly lead me into the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

Use the instructions at the bottom of this DIY to properly bleed the system.
I just did this. You can also use a Lisle spillfree funnel to speed up the proccess

Get a spill free funnel. After countless attempts to bleed this system just like I have other cars I purchased one from amazon for under 20$ shipped. I bled mine and have done many others in less than 10 minutes with it.
Our radiator lies below the heads therefore filling the radiator doesn't have enough pressure to force air out from behind the thermostat. With the spill free funnel it raises that fill level and makes it very simple. I use it on every vehicle I service. It's almost stupid not to own one these days.

To be more specific, this is the funnel kit you want:
