Default Bad slave cylinder symptoms?

Through searching on this forum I was able to determine that my 2007 350z 6MT never went in for the recall for the slave cylinder years ago (I bought it 2 years ago at 39,000 miles, it now has 64,000.) Anyway, the clutch is now having the common issue of having almost no resistance until the last inch or so where it will then engage/disengage the clutch. Sometimes it will not engage if it has not been pushed in a while and will need to be pumped a few times to allow it to go into gear. This issue came on very suddenly, it was fine on my way to work, and then broken when I got in the car to drive home. Tomorrow I am scheduled to get the brake and clutch fluid flushed (as much for routine maintenance as to attempt to fix this issue.) And Thursday I have scheduled an appointment with the dealership to replace the slave cylinder under the recall for free. I have two questions, do these symptoms line up with a bad slave cylinder? (there appears to still be a full reservoir of brake and clutch fluid after 2 days of this.) And am i safe to drive the car until i can get it fixed Thursday without damaging any parts other than the already broken slave cylinder?

Sounds like it. When mine was on its way out it the pedal would only return about half way up and id have to pull it the rest of the way up with my toe. The engagement point also sagged lower and lower to the floor. I'm not sure about damaging components by driving on it for a few days but mine went from bad to worse QUICK so id imagine it wouldn't be long before I wouldn't be able to disengage the clutch at all if I lost all clutch pressure. Wouldn't wanna get stuck somewhere.

Yep, that is exactly what ended up happening. I barely made it home last night and this morning I couldnt shift it out of neutral. I called the dealership and they said that I could have it towed to the shop and as long as they determine it is broken due to the slave cylinder that was never brought in for the recall, I don't need to pay for the tow. So it is now sitting at Nissan waiting for the new slave cylinder to come in on Wednesday. I must say I have gotten a lot more help from the dealership than I expected.
