Default not sure how to fix oil leak

So I noticed oil leaking from my z and I jacked it up to see why. It looked like the sensor in front of the filter was loose so I tried tightening it and heard a
Small crack noise and now oil is leaking slowly from the divot I guess I would call it next to the sensor towards the front of the car and I don't know what it is or how to fix it and would love some help.

So as I was about to upload a picture I saw it. A crack along where the sensor threads in to the divot I mention leaking oil. Can this be repaired or does it have to be replaced and if so any ideas on cost?

Uh oh.....if it's the oil sender unit you cracked you're screwed...you'll need a new upper oil pan and installation will not be cheap...

Read this thread, there are some pics in there too...

bad new - this happened to me a few years back…350z006 is right…the upper oil pan is damaged and I would not drive the car.

The upper oil pan is actually pretty affordable, I think I paid $125 for my OEM replacement from courtesyparts dot com. The expensive part will be pulling the block to get to upper oil pan.

If you've ever needed an excuse to build the block and add turbos or a SC than this is your calling...
