Default Trouble after cleaning MAF sensor HELP!

Hey guys, the other day I had noticed that my check engine light was on so I plugged in and got the P0172 code, the car ran perfectly fine, but of course I want to keep up on my maintenance and take care of that code.
So firstly I decided to clean the MAF sensor, I took the sensor out and sprayed it from all angles with MAF sensor cleaner. let it dry for about 30 min. and then put it back in and took it for a test drive.

Off the bat I noticed that it wouldnt idle whenever I came to a stop, just cuts off.
I drove to a friends house nearby and also noticed a small hesitation in performance as well.
and after returning back home the car for the most part will not idle still, sometimes it will try and the rpms dip close to 0 and then it recovers for a short time.

Do you think my MAF sensor is shot or?

I believe I have got the problem solved. I'm not sure if it was because I might have sprayed too much cleaner on the MAF or what, but after letting the car sit for an hour I took it out for another drive and it performed much better than it did before. It only died while idling twice during this drive.
I came home and waited another hour or two and made another drive where the car is idling very consistently now and is performing top notch!

Glad to hear it. Maybe some of the cleaner pushed itself into the circuitry and finally dried out after a couple of heat cycles.

Did you ever get your p0172 code fixed up? my light just came on and it came up that code. just wondering if cleaning the maf solved the problem. Also if anyone else had this code let me know, thanks!
