I race cars too. I have a 68 barracuda. It does not get the same fluids my DD get, for the DD go with what the factory recommends. They wouldn't recommend it if it didn't work. they have to cover their azz right?
MT85 is a tranny oil and can be used on either street or track with good results. I change it on my street car per the factory recommendations and I'll bet my tranny will last 200K+ miles with it. As for the race Z, I drain and change the tranny fluid once at the start of the season (along with the rest of the fluids) and that seems sufficient for hardcore racing.

As for your 'Cuda, good for you. It won't use the same lubricants our Z33s get, because it has different requirements. MT85 is one tranny fluid that meets OEM standards for viscosity and quality specific to the Z33. No need to cover your *** if you're following what Nissan recommends for our cars.

Sorry to take this so far OT- if Cudaben wants to discuss it further, he can PM me.
