California smog checks are death to hopes of getting your car registered, there is always some ********. Last time i had to retest because i changed my rear view mirror in my s10 to a wide angle mirror and me unplugging the OEM mirror threw a CEL and caused me to fail, tried the same thing in Nevada and it passed just fine.

Actually I was wrong... You may still be covered. According to The EPA, you only have 8 years/80,000 miles. It will all depend on your milage and when the car's purchase date was.
